Title: Making predictions: What does a post covid-19 world look like?
We actually have a fairly good idea about quite a few things concerning behaviour during and after pandemics, because researchers examining SARS and Avian flu, and other epidemics/pandemics, had faced much of the same questions we face now.Sociological research on pandemics provides useful insights into the developments of narratives (Abeysinghe & White, 2011; Wagner-Egger et al, 2012) and how they can help us understand what will happen post COVID-19, and how social narratives function. In conjunction, psychological research explains why narratives are important to us. In this presentation I'll present some preliminary data that we collected to examined current public narratives.
